A: Yes. UPCs (or barcode numbers) are required by every major music store. It is the universal method by which various companies and organizations are able to uniquely identify a product.

If you don't currently have a UPC, that is fine. We can provide you with one for only $35 per album. The UPC Barcode is used to track your album and song sales throughout the world.

A: Music-forever is a digital music distributor of audio content for Artists and Labels. What this means is that we get your CDs, music, or other audio content into the various digital music stores such as iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, Napster for sale.

A: No you don't, you can be a artist or label from anywhere in the world.

A: In order for us to distribute your music digitally, you must own the copyright for the sound recordings OR have permission from the owners. Even if you have covered someone else’s song (ie: a song you didn't write or don't own the rights to), we can still submit it to iTunes and other stores.

However, it is YOUR responsibility to determine if you have permission and pay the applicable royalties once you have received payment just like if you were selling CDs physically at a concert or store.

A: Your royalties will appear in your music-forever account on the 20th of every month. You will have the ability to withdraw your earnings at anytime by check or electronically through the PayPal service.

We pay all of our artists by way of PayPal, the global leader in online payments. It is free to sign up for and regardless of which account type you create (personal, premium, or business) Once the money is transfered to your PayPal account, you then have the option of depositing it into your bank account electronically for free, or for a small fee PayPal will mail you a check. A: Digital distribution is the method by which your music is distributed to various digital music stores which then sell downloads of your music for iPods or other portable music devices. Where a traditional distributor would ship out your CDs to stores, we will distribute digital copies of your music to stores such as iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster, Amazon, eMusic, etc.

A: Yes. You may digitally distribute any of your music even if you have never had a CD printed. However, your songs will be considered an album and will need a unique UPC code as well as professional cover art.

Please make sure your artwork meets all these requirements:

· You fully own the rights to the image.

· You have the rights to use the face or image of anyone in your artwork, especially if it's a photograph.

· If someone else provided you the image, you have permission from them to use it.

· No logos, trademarks or any other text or images can appear unless you own them or have permission from the owner(s) to use them. For example, you can not have a logo from a soda company, restaurant, gas station, store, etc., in the background. If things like that show up in your artwork, You might ask you to prove you have ownership or permission.

· No obscenity or pornography can appear in the image.

· Words that appear in the image are spelled correctly and are legible

· The image is not blurry or distorted.

· The image is square.

· Remember: Music-Forever and its partners reserve the right to reject any artwork at any time for any reason.

If your image meets all these requirements, as a 600 x 600 pixel (or better, so long as it's square) .JPEG, .GIF, or .PNG file in best-quality RGB Color mode and at least 72 dpi. For best results, don't scale up smaller images, and don't submit anything that contains an embedded color profile. The most common reason why uploaded art doesn't look good is that the file you uploaded was not to specifications.

A: No Way! By agreeing to our Distribution Agreement, you allow us to become your non-exclusive digital distributor of your music for a time specified in the agreement. We do not take ownership of the music, but only help facilitate the process of spreading your music digitally. We are simply a distribution service that puts your music up for sale on digital download sites.
